What I don’t like of this kind of research is that it seems to instill a deterministic attitude in people. As if being rich was not accompanied with the choice of being kind to everyone.

Not that I say that that this kind of research should not be conducted, on the contrary, it is important to verify what intuition already tells us: there’s more assholes among rich people. However, what is interesting is that there are some rich people who are not assholes. Why? How do they escape this effect?

The lesson I get from this is that I must either choose between being kind or being rich. But I have a choice and I’d like to know how the exceptions overcame their nature.
