I’m Mexican, fair skinned and my English is near native. I’ve always wondered: if I crossed the border illegally and I just strolled about, pretending I’m a biologist investigating desert plants who just happened to have lost his wallet (in case you want to see my ID), would you catch on it? Or would you even ask for an ID?

Just curious, I already have legal means of entering the US :)
