I don’t get it. The shitty compensation was only for the probation period? Or they had already told you the salary before all the interviews and phone calls?

The job offer stated the compensation (craigslist), so when I applied they assumed I was aware of it. I went through all the hoops without knowing my salary up to the point where they extended an intention of employment.
